About the author

A wife, mother, grandmother; a lover of animals - with special appreciation for the canine and equine companions. Music, reading and laughter are mandatory. Barbara has a natural affinity for animals and has enjoyed a connection with them from a very young age. She found they were equally drawn to her. “I remember when my younger sister got her first dog - Precious, a Yorkshire Terrier – the first thing she said when she walked through the door was, “don’t let Barb touch her!” A dog in the house that I couldn’t touch? Inconceivable! As powerful as her relationship has been with animals, it seems only natural to share and use that energy to help educate and mold our young people – it takes a village.
