About the author

Barbara begin to create the fascinating Dark Fantasy series Master Guardian in 1999, over the past 15 years the series has grown into 40 stories. All the beautiful illustrations, which first began to appear on the front covers and within the short stories, are created by Barbara under her artist name Spider. Since the launch of Master Guardian Part One 10th Anniversary in 2011 which featured a drawing of the character Alric, Barbara decided to continue to add illustrations to the novels.


Some of Babs’ Influences come from Anime, RPG games, ヴィジュアル系 (Visual kei), Chinese and Japanese history, culture and food.

Barbara has said, 'As long as the ideas keep coming, I will continue to write the series.'
