Theda Black writes about men in love with other men, but she's not your
usual romance writer. She's into edgy situations, intense relationships,
passionate events and no safety nets. She explores the emotional and
physical limits of her characters, particularly involving what they can
and will endure for the sake of love. Often that involves darker
storylines than normal.
Theda lives near the Great Smoky Mountains with her husband and two daughters, very close to where she was born. Her stories are often set in the South, around or near the mountains. She's been writing and drawing and generally making things up to suit herself for years, and hopes to keep doing so for many more.
It should come as no surprise that when ViceTV decided to do an episode on “Monsters Fantasies,” they came to Riverdale Avenue Books to interview some of those authors in an episode that aired in March 2018.

The introduction of a mortal into the Toreador Clan, and more importantly into the Arikeland family, was going to spell big trouble. His father Acheron strongly disapproved but his sister Imperia and brother Drakkar posed a more dangerous situation.
While dealing with family issues, Draven encountered treachery and deceit among those he trusted!
First, his uncle Thorne, who tainted his vampiric blood with heroin, became weak and subject to manipulation by the local mafia figure, Don Chessia. He attempted to take over the Arikeland family Corporation and insinuate himself in the casino complex that it was constructing out in the Boston Harbor islands.
In addition, his wife Darcy, the only woman he loved, violated the sanctity of their marriage and engaged in an affair with a neighbor.
Tied up in all this was Dravenʼs blood donor of 20 years, Elliot Jackson, who just happened to be the current mayor for the city of Boston, who betrayed his benefactor.
As the story unfolds it is replete with complicated twists and turns and an unexpected ending.
