She and her family live in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Holly Brubach is a journalist specializing in fashion, architecture, and design. She has been a contributing editor at Vogue, a staff writer for The New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly, and the style editor of the New York Times Magazine.
