Ratings and reviews

Starts off very slow, and is frustrating to read, until page 100. Concept of serial murders are thrilling, gruesome, and original. However, the author takes you unnecessarily, 16-pages away, into the main characters personal life, which has little significance to the gruesome murders, I've just read about in one chapter, and thought I'd be staying on track with the story, in the next. Repetitive, and definitely a slow burn. Skimmed through most of the narrative that had nothing to do with the track of the storyline, because the serial murders were so interesting that I felt I had no choice but to finish the book.

best read in a long time. loved how it went back and forth from Adele to the killer. kept the chase so much more interesting. loved how simple comments gave Adele the hints that she needed to solve the crime.

Left To Die is the first book in the "An Adele Sharp Mystery" series and is a great start to this new series. Adele is an intriguing character with triple citizenship, secrets in her past, and is an FBI agent investigating an international serial killer. The storyline is fast-paced and action-packed, with murder, suspense, intrigue, and danger. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
