Story line was somewhat lacking for me. I had great difficulty staying focused. The suspension was too low key for me and the plot was very anticipateable. The fights were just as expected. Find the victim, while trying to save them, she gets knocked out, when she comes to shes tied up and disarmed. To no ones surpise, although shes disarmed and bound, she manages to escape and save the day! No suspense no drama. This book will be placed on the bottom of my Blake Pierce recommendations.

A new hotel has been built and lots of complaints have been made. The architect who plans to build another wing ends up drowned in the lake. May and her partner begin investigating when her FBI sister comes to town to announce her engagement. May needs info from the FBI to figure this one out. Things really heat up & it turns out the FBI is desperately needed for parts of this case, but May intends to solve the murders without the FBI's help. Really great read! Can't wait for the next book!

Sisters one a sheriff another with the FBI, when they come together to work on a cold case and another sister is missing. Killer is on a rampage, upscale hotel, in this small lakeside town. A gripping story and a good beginning. The author knows how to give us a gripping store that I enjoy his writing. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
