Lissa Labelle has had to fight to get respect in a male-dominated field and is determined not to let any man get in her way. That includes Jack Tannahill, who has a run-in with Lissa that leads to a chance to work together on the shores along Tannahill property. Lissa soon learns to respect and admire Jack, even as she tries to hide her feelings for her former mentor, who is now a world-famous TV documentarian a la Jacques Cousteau.
As Jack and Lissa fight against their growing attraction, their shared love for marine life and the beauty of the Chesapeake area promise to bring them closer together. But a co-worker of Lissa who has designs on Jack, as well as Lissa's crush on her mentor, are emotional tempests that threaten to drown out any chance they have for happiness.
Author Bonnie Vane’s award-winning stories, poems, articles, and novels have appeared in dozens of national and regional publications and anthologies. Writing under various pen names, Bonnie enjoys stretching her literary wings across different genres.
She thinks she may have been a mariner in a former life because she’s always felt drawn to the sea. Both the Love Brothers series and The Princes of the Potomac series arose out of that awe and love for coastal settings, including her own stomping grounds in and around the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay.
She currently lives in Virginia with her husband and lots of adorable dust bunnies.
