Gargoyles, are you kidding me! As if the seventh book in this series could get any better, she adds gargoyles! I don’t know how Davies does it but she nails it EVERY. TIME! The world building is exceptional and every book flows effortlessly into the next and feels like you never left. The characters are amazing and their growth throughout the series has been phenomenal. It’s a whirlwind of emotions as we watch Ryker and Ellery fight with everything they have for everyone they love.

This book picks up right where the last one ended. Brenda has a gift of the seamless transition between books. She continues to write stories that keep you engaged and get BETTER as the series goes on. I absolutely love Ryker and Ellery. This story will pull at your heart strings, and make you feel emotions that you normally wouldn't feel while reading fiction. I'm absolutely looking forward to book 8! Oh, I forgot to mention the Gargoyles!!! 100% a fantastic addition to the series!

This was an easy, engaging read that kept me wanting more with every chapter. The character development and redemption arcs felt genuine, and I loved how the story explored both family and found family in a meaningful way. Its message of acceptance—embracing people as they are rather than trying to change them—really stood out. The emotions and inner turmoil of the characters felt real and immersive, and somehow it even left me wishing I had a gargoyle of my own.
