Book is good and i definitely learned something and may even start using in the future. However, my only drawback is that many of the examples seemed to confirm the trade entry criteria after the fact. For example, at the end of a downtrend there is a consolidation area that breaks the AVWAP first before the main trend up begins. Well most of the examples show him buying exactly after the consolidation area the perfect time to begin the uptrend. He does go more into detail on this, however some of the example you have to shake your head (look at the short interest section...mentioning as this is the most recent section I finished). Good book overall.

This book is a must-read for any trader who wants to improve their trading performance. The book explains the underlying physics of trading, such as why price action moves up or down around certain numbers. The book does an excellent job of explaining the concept of anchored VWAP and how it can be used to improve your trading decisions. It provides clear and concise explanations of the concepts, as well as plenty of charts and examples to illustrate his points. One of the things I really liked about this book is that it doesn't just tell you what to do. It also explains why you should do it, which is essential for understanding how to use anchored VWAP effectively. It also provides a number of different trading strategies that you can use to implement anchored VWAP in your own trading. Overall, I really enjoyed reading Maximum Trading Gains With Anchored VWAP: The Perfect Combination of Price, Time & Volume by Brian Shannon. It's a great resource for traders of all levels, and I highly recommend it.

This is one of the best advanced trading books I've ever read. Using the concepts he outlines in the book has been a huge game changer for me in analyzing market structure. I wish I knew about the anchored view app sooner.

About the author

Brian Shannon, CMT, has been a securities professional for 32 years. In 1991, just out of college, Brian started as a retail broker for Lehman Brothers and worked for Tucker Anthony and Dain Bosworth. In 1996, he focused on trading full-time, working for Carlin Securities. Brian has successfully run a proprietary trading desk while simultaneously being lead instructor/course creator for MarketWise Securities.

Brian is a consistently profitable trader and the founder of Alphatrends in 2008, www.alphatrends.net, a service dedicated to swing trading market analysis and education. He is an internationally recognized expert in technical analysis, with a focus on shorter-term timeframes. He is the author of the highly acclaimed book Technical Analysis Using Multiple Timeframes, which has been called “Top 10 Trading Books Ever Written” by the founder of Traders Press.
