About the author
Briyanna Dorminvil has built a solid foundation rooted in faith, integrity, and enduring wisdom by blending genres, incorporating clever, creative twists, and embracing diversity. She is an award-winning author, poet, mentor, and men’s mental health advocate. As a versatile writer, she has written books, poems, essays, resumes, press releases, PowerPoint presentations, narratives, user guides, and storyboards. She has written in various genres, including Flash Fiction, Youth Nonfiction, Self-Help, Autobiography, Action/Adventure, Christian Literature, and Children’s Christian Fiction.
She has served as a mentor for over a decade, helping people heal and overcome challenges through support and uplifting guidance. Her primary mentees are young men. Despite helping several men, she wanted to reach a broader group of men beyond mentoring sessions. She decided to take mentoring a step further by combining wisdom and writing to raise awareness of common, often hidden problems men face daily and to advocate for men’s mental health through poetry. Her poems “Am I Invisible” and “The Silent Cry of a Man” have earned finalist positions in writing competitions and have been published in Adelaide Magazine.
After refining her writing skills and earning an associate's degree in Creative Writing, she achieved notable academic honors, including the Advanced Achievement Award, membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and valedictorian status. She has also achieved remarkable milestones, including an interview on This Week in America with Ric Bratton, a twice-featured appearance at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, and the Ignite 30 Under 30 Award. Influential Women have also recognized her. Today, she has seven books and fourteen publications. She continues to serve others through each of her gifts, paving the way for future generations.
