Trigger Warning!!! Violence against women and children with off page suicide may cause triggers for some readers. I'm usually very detailed with my reviews, telling way more than I should. This time, I'm going to switch it up. But I will tell you this, your heart WILL be broken. You WILL be disgusted at how low people will sink. The end WILL make you smile and while it's not a cliffhanger, it does set up the next in the series. Both have had a hard home life. One didn't want to do anything but run because of what someone else did. One is not only paying for what someone else did but can't run or her siblings would pay in more ways than one. This one, as well as the others in the series, is a heart-breaker and a punch in the gut with sweet redemption! I love the "touch her and die" vibes as well. PREACHER is the first installment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult FURY VIPERS MC. Preacher life has never been easy from day one, and every time he finds a little happiness, it seems to get taken from him until he can only push everything and everyone away. Ailbhe has had to step up into the role of mother and father for her siblings while also dealing with the responsibilities of her father's debt. Meeting Ailbhe Manghan did nothing for Preacher, but an unexpected pregnancy pushed Ailbhe out of his life. Knowing he screwed up, yet again, Preacher went back to America, only to realize the person he left behind is the woman he loves. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Ailbhe and Preacher and the potential fall-out when our heroine is targeted for payment of a debt. This story is the start of the Fury Vipers Dublin chapter & I‘ve been waiting for it! Preacher’s backstory is brutal and more recent, heartbreaking events leave him difficult to trust anyone outside of his brothers. Ailbhe’s young life is not much better. She has family responsibilities, a job, and a huge debt to pay. These characters really show that family is what you create. Loved seeing the Gallaghers in their element.
