About this ebook

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Vivian Wood comes a new forbidden billionaire student-teacher romance. Fans of The Stopover by TL Swan, The Fine Print by Lauren Asher, and My Dark Romeo by Parker S. Huntington and LJ Shen will love this book.

A billionaire ballet patron. A beautiful young dancer. An accidental meeting that turns into a sizzling, scandalous, steamy affair.

Rich bachelor Calum meets a good girl turned exotic dancer one night in the lavish VIP room of a club. He’s immediately drawn to her gorgeous body and sultry yet innocent eyes. Pretty Kaia seems to want him too… but maybe she is a better liar than he thinks.

When they next meet, sweet little Kaia is auditioning to join the big city ballet that he just so happens to practically own. She looks like a deer in headlights, as it is a strict rule that ballerinas do not have side jobs.

But Calum has a mutually beneficial offer for her. Sign a contract. Live in his penthouse. Be at his beck and call, at any time, in every single way he can think of. And in exchange, he keeps his mouth closed and pays her a lavish stipend.

Kaia can’t resist his callous, possessive demand. But once he has Kaia all to himself, setting her free again becomes a passionate struggle…

If you love off limits, forbidden student-teacher romances, wild nights at adult entertainment clubs, and wealthy men deceiving everyone to get the woman they fall in love with, this book is made for you! It's the first of three books in a lavish, decadent, sizzlingly hot trilogy and features no cheating + an (eventual) HEA.

An amazing blockbuster start for a new series. I have always liked the brooding dark hero. But when it was revealed why he felt he was broken and could never love I wanted to cry. Our heroine insecure, berated, mistreated by her father who made her feel she was never good enough tried her best to make it on her own just to be away from his influence. During the day a ballerina during the night to pay the bills a stripper who caught the eye of our brooding hero. When they realized they had more in common than they thought they were treading on dangerous grounds. All of a sudden, our hero's heart slowly started to crack and feelings he long thought lost were returning. He became protective of our little ballerina. Her life became inexplicably complicated and dangerous now that she was intimately associated with our hero. I cannot wait for the next book. A non-stop page turning drama that is unpredictable and touching. I highly recommend this. A must read. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow!! This was such a good story. Kaia is a ballet dancer and has always wanted to dance for a company. She has her eyes set on NYB. To make ends meet and to help pay off her debt to her father she works at Club X. That is very forbidden for ballet dancers, but she is very careful on not getting caught. One night there she meets Calum and he is intrigued by her. He knows she has had ballet training and that is one thing that draws him to her. While they work out an agreement, things are brought to life. Kaia has a father who is a sick and twisted jerk. Calum has a ballerina who is crazy as a nut and wants him. There is lots of drama, angst, crazy hateful people and some twists. This took me on an emotional ride and the ending, OMGosh!!! I couldn’t put it down until I was done. Vivian pulled me into the ballet world and has left me wanting the next one quickly. I can’t wait to read The Dancer to see what will happen next.

This incredible read kick-starts this new trilogy off with a bang. Right from the start I was pulled in and consumed by this tempting romance. From the storyline, to the characters, to the ever increasing buildup of tension, this book was perfectly on pointe. Kaia and Callum share an impossible to resist attraction and boy do they generate sparks and steam! I found Kaia easy to like and my heart ached for her. Callum is kind of on the flip-side of that coin. Originally, I can't say that I liked him much. His coldness and I found some of his actions very off-putting and in my opinion, distasteful. But, as the layers are pulled back and shocking secrets are revealed, my heart melted and my attitude did changed. This man did not make my heart ache, he made it bleed!! There is no denying the potency of the story that is playing out here. Raw emotions, stunning twists, danger, drama, blazing heat, rare moments of sweetness and a ton of intensity will have feverishly reading long past your bedtime and leave you gasping and desperate once that cliffy hits. I need book two NOW!! I am electing to post a forthright review.
