The Courtship Dance is book four in the Matchmaker Series by Candace Camp. I loved this book. The main character is the matchmaker herself - Lady Francesca Haughston. Living on the edge of poverty, Lady Francesca uses her skills as a matchmaker to keep her little household afloat financially. But what happens when the man she is trying to find a match for awakens a deep desire in her own heart? The Duke of Rochford is a wonderful hero. I think he is one of my favorite romantic characters. “It was Rochford, all right, effortlessly elegant in formal black and white, and easily the most handsome man in the room. His thick black hair was cut into an artfully casual style that many copied but few could achieve, and his lean, tall figure was perfectly suited for the close-fitting trousers and jacket that were the current fashion. There was nothing ostentatious about him-the only decoration he wore was a stickpin anchoring his cravat, the head of which was an onyx and dark as his eyes - yet no one, seeing him, would have thought him anything less than an aristocrat.” I really enjoyed this entire series. I loved how Lady Francesca appears in each book like a fairy godmother. And to have her own story was the best for the end of this series.
