I can’t say enough good things about this book! Carrie Ann Ryan did it again!! This is Dare and Kenzie’s story. Dare is an owner of two businesses that have been in his family for years. They live in a small town named Whiskey. He is Tabby’s older brother if you’ve read Montgomery Ink then your familiar with her. Kenzie is just moving to Whiskey to get away from a troubled past that she’s hoping to avoid at all costs and she hopes her new surroundings and new job will help her manage this. Kenzie is hired as the new Innkeeper for Dare’s family who also run the hotel that is connected to the bar and restaurant owned by Dare. However his parents failed to tell him and the rest of his brothers and sister about their plans to retire and let’s just say Dare is not thrilled by the news or with Kenzie whom seems to be to uptight and stuck up for Dare. They butt heads right off the bat and more than once. Neither seem to like the other but secretly they both can’t keep from thinking of one another. The chemistry is a magnetic pull between them and fate won’t let them escape so easily no matter what each of them try to avoid its clutches. Loved the dedication at the beginning of the book! It was amazing and he will always be with you Carrie Ann and I’m sure he is proud of the finished book and always of you. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of Whiskey Secrets.

Oh I have a new series that I love written by Carrie Ann Ryan! Whiskey Secrets had me caught up in the little town of Whiskey and I did not want to leave it when I read The End. Dare is broody and the alpha in him oozes. Kenzie is strong willed and does not back down from the Colin clan. You may have met Tabby with the Montgomery Ink series when she met Alex. This spin off series are about her older brothers. If you have not read the previous series, that is okay. This book is totally a standalone! Dare was so much more than I could dream of. His past still haunts him and he just wants to find a way to live. Kenzie is still fighting her own demons and I was afraid for her when she was faced with them. Together, these two made each other better. I was all for the independent woman, and the man that seemed like he had it together. But these two were perfect to the others half. Whiskey Secrets will make you wish you had a bottle in front of you to cheers with. The sexiness level is way past the heat intensity you could ever imagine. Carrie Ann brings you a new set of alpha brothers that you will not help but fall head over heals for! Seriously, I am so glad we get to read their stories! I can not wait to read about Fox next. I am truly in love with the Whiskey and Lies series and I barely just began this journey.

Carrie Ann Ryan's books all follow a pretty similar story pattern; that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them, though! In fact, their relatively predictable nature is comforting to me. You know what you are getting into when you read one of Carrie Ann Ryan's books. Carrie Ann Ryan's (CAR) stories will always have an HEA, family will be a big component, her heroes are always alphas, and her heroines are always sassy. Nothing bad at all here! Whiskey Secrets is the first in a new series for CAR. The book is set in the small-town of Whiskey and follows innkeeper Kenzie and the grumpy cop-turned-bartender, Dare. Kenzie works for Dare's parents and though the two butt heads initially, they give into their attraction relatively early in the book. Kenzie has a past that she's trying to outrun, though, and both of them are keeping secrets from one another. This book was a great introduction to a new series, and I can't wait to read more about the Collins family. I think I have an inkling of who the final hero/heroine will be and if I'm right, this is going to turn into a must-read series in no time! 4 stars for Whiskey Secrets!
