Violet has absolute faith in him; Narya trusts that Destiny will always find a way; only Charlie cannot understand why or how he can possibly be the hero they all think he is - and he doesn't believe in magic either!
When he loses everything to the forces of the Dark he has no choice but to join Violet in her search for the other Watchers of the Crystal shards and hope that somehow along the way he finds the magic and the belief in himself before it's too late.
"Dark" is the opening book in the spectacular "Crystal Legacy" series where we meet Charlie and his friends as they start out on an epic adventure that will change their lives forever.
As they battle their way across a magical world that is not as far removed from our own world as you might at first think, they face trials and tribulations that will test their courage, self-belief, loyalties and friendship to the limit.
In a sweeping tale full of twists and turns, dark magic, love and sacrifice we will travel with Charlie as he battles demons all around him as well as those within...but who will win?
That is, as yet, the unknown end of the tale and to have an ending every story must first have a beginning.
"Dark" is the start of Charlie's story.
Myla Lewis has her life back. Wife. Mother. Queen. Great Scala. Queen of the Thrax. Yay! Then one day, Myla runs across a supernatural waterfall that makes her igni screech like crazy. Our heroine speaks the fateful words:
Some days, I wish I weren’t the Great Scala.
The waterfall grants her wish.
A moment later, Myla is back at Purgatory High. No husband. No child. No powers beyond her old quasi days. And without Myla around as the Great Scala, all quasis now live under Armageddon’s rule. That sucks. Hard. So Myla sneaks into Antrum—she simply must find Lincoln and figure this out. Once she arrives, two problems arise.
First, her husband doesn’t know her. At all.
Second, Lincoln is married to someone else.
