About this ebook

An immense asteroid is on course to deliver a torrent of pathogens into this galactic sector—an extinction event no military fleet can stop. A deep-space exploration mission is dispatched to investigate and Cyann, astrobiologist and Human-Delphian hybrid, is eager to be part of the mission, led by her mother Nova Whiteside.

But before she can leave, she is drawn into a mystery far older than the crisis itself. A secretive Delphian sect believes the impending catastrophe is tied to the Tughan Wai—a powerful and elusive creation of their own making. And they believe Cyann’s unique genetics are the key to finding it.

Isolated in deep space among an alien species whose intentions are as dangerous as they are unknowable, this first contact forces Cyann to face a truth no one wants to accept:

The Tughan may not be their salvation.

And the asteroid cannot be stopped.

Now, as entire galactic empire stand on the brink, Cyann must decide what she’s willing to become—drawing on the strength of both sides of her heritage—to find a path forward where none should exist.

Good series. Ending could use corrections or some rewrite but overall ended pretty good for this series. It was slow engaging for me earlier in series but glad that it came together in end. Thought it left some parts to story somewhat unsettled but made some effort to satisfy readers. Perhaps more a hasty ending. Despite its outcome, I would take another look into this world if there was something worth exploring.

Just now finished the five book series and it is one of those that you can't seem to put down and when you do, you are drawn back to it to find out what is going to happen next. Keeps you enthralled and entertained. A truly well written and presented story. Thank you Miss Reher.

Nothing much new here. Not even a good try at tying up loose ends. Felt forced and tacked on to a series.

About the author

Living in Canada, it is inevitable that those who lack enthusiasm for snow-related activities tend to stay indoors for a good portion of the year.
Thank goodness for computers. And sci-fi. And eBooks!

I've always loved fantasy worlds and writing about what might be possible, given a certain suspension of disbelief and a rude assault upon the laws of physics.
Since I've always suspected that there is far too much gravity on this planet, I tend to take my people to other worlds.
