I have recently found Christa Wick's books and have been delighted with them, but this book took it to new levels! The story captures Owen and Gemma, who have been avoiding their true feelings for one another until an event (no spoilers here!) threw them together. What I loved about this story is that it wasn't just a "fluff" story, it had real depth to the characters. Not only was there drama from a vindictive ex, but also tension of creating a family with young children and building trust, long term feelings that needed resolution with the H and h and professional work issues that had to be dealt with. The way the author interwove the story with the main characters and still allowed the romance to evolve kept me glued to my seat. She allowed Gemma to be feminine but strong and Owen to be strong but still lean on Gemma for support. This story will tug on your heart strings, cheer for the characters and make you a Christa Wick fan for sure!

I would give it 6 stars if I could! Owen and Gemma have been best friends since they were kids. Gemma is an environmental attorney who is great at her job but isn’t so great at her personal life. Owen flips houses and takes care of his younger sister and her kids (Natalie, Gio and Moses) when his sister doesn’t sabotage his efforts. Owen calls on Gemma’s help to keep custody of his drug-addicted sister’s kids and this wonderful story begins. As a member of her ARC Team, I have been reading a lot of Christa Wick’s books recently. Owen, Gemma, Natalie, Gio and Moses story is hands-down my favorite story (although Tempted Beyond Reason is a close second). Not only does Curvy Seduction deliver a solid (and at times steamy) romance, it also tells the tale of 5 people learning to become a family. Gemma and Owen are awesome characters, Gemma’s friend from the law firm where she works is loads of fun, and even the social worker grows on you. The older kids have issues, which is logical considering their experiences, but you just can’t help but feel for them and Gemma while she tries to convince them to trust her. I would give this story 6 stars if I could. Favorite line: I know I’m supposed to be a big, brawny guy, but holding you makes me feel safe. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.
