About the author

Clive W. Humphris was born in Maldon Essex UK in 1946 leaving school at fifteen to begin an apprenticeship as an instrument maker with Marconi in Chelmsford working in both electronics and mechanical engineering fields. At a very early age he developed a passion for electronics and engineering that was to go on to provide an interesting and enjoyable career in both the personal electronics and commercial sectors where special projects and technical management training and education were his particular specialist areas. Leaving school with little more than a basic education has proved to be a massive advantage in being able to understand the needs and learning difficulties of many students and encourages the production of training materials that have a very strong practical application. Further teaching study and two post graduate management qualifications ensured the author linked a practical background with understanding how people learn and develop and apply that to the individual personal development of the reader. Schools, Colleges and Universities worldwide use the STEM networked software packages for both whole class teaching and individual study (now available as Kindle eBooks). The development of the eBook market provided the opportunity for the author to make that same software, previously costing hundreds of pounds available to students and hobbyists worldwide at a tiny fraction of the original cost. This is a unique combination of a very low-cost eBook or paperback where the reader is able to download accompanying software onto a PC where the book content can be brought to life through the extensive interactive PC features. Educational software packages to accompany the eBooks that between them cover over a thousand STEM subject areas. eBooks and hardcopy publications available by eBook publishers have grouped and customised similar topics for different reader interests.
