Cartea are 208 pagini și conţine desenele tehnice a 100 piese - exemplu, propuse pentru modelarea 3D de către cititor. Acestea sunt ordonate după complexitate, de la cea mai simplă la cea mai complexă.
Reprezentările din carte sunt obținute prin modelarea cu Autodesk Inventor, dar piesele pot fi modelate folosind la fel de bine orice alt software de CAD (CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Creo Parametric etc.)

An excellent book with useful and beautiful mechanical pieces. Although intended for Inventor, the pieces can be used to test other parametric modelling CAD programs. The pieces pose interesting challenges that help master whatever CAD software one uses. I have been using the book with FreeCAD and I can say that it has taken my knowledge of that modelling software to the next level.
