About this ebook

Greyson, book 9 of the K9s

Combining a trip to see his grandparents with hunting down a K9 dog sounds like a good excuse at the time to Greyson. Somehow the K9 had been accidentally flown halfway around the world in the wrong direction and then lost. Finding the dog wasn’t easy, but Greyson follows the trail of destruction the same as the K9 does … and finds the female shepherd protecting a mother and child … So not what he expected.

Jessica didn’t understand why the dog was always around, but the dog was plain scary. Although not as much as everything else going on in her life right now. Most things she blames on her ex-husband, but was he this mean? With her toddler son to protect, she knows she can’t make a mistake that will bring them harm.

As the events escalate, it doesn’t take long to decide who was on her side and who … wasn’t.

Greyson's grandparents had retired in Hawaii and he hasn't seen them since before his injury while a Navy Seal. They wanted to come to his side but he discouraged them while he trying to heal. Now he wanted to see his only family and the trip to Hawaii to search for a missing war dog seemed perfect. The grandparents were great, the k-9 was indeed missing. Kona had been sent to Hawaii by mistake and disappeared from the local rescue center. The only clue was an car accident which happened near the center and didn't appear to include a dog. Greyson took every tiny clue and searched as only a experienced man could do. Little by little he pieced the picture together with patience and perseverance. It seemed highly unlikely this dog still in a watchful mode but I'll leave it at that. Did he escape or was he taken? No one could give any hints one way or another. Jessica and her son Danny were involved in a mystery which I'll leave at that too. I loved the characters and they were perfect for this scenario. I really enjoyed the progression of this search as Greyson attempted to solve the problem and bring it to a satisfying conclusion. I will read this book again! The epilogue hints at a future book with Rowan and Hershey (Herold Guildford II) which sounds like another winner!

I love these books and this series and this one is no different in so far as I loved it. They just get better and better. Grayson has finally made it to his grandparents who raised him. They have been hurt by his not wanting them to come to help him with his injuries and hospital stay. He hopes this coming will help with that as he loves them so much and only wants the best for them. He is looking for a missing lady shepard that was a war dog. She is hiding trying to protect a woman and her child. Jessica is perplexed with the dog and why she was hanging around and was worried the dog would hurt her son. Greyson finds himself drawn to the shepard and the relationship and guarding of the small family. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
