After Levi’s tongue-in-cheek teasing at the end of Dezi’s Diamond (Book 18 in the Heroes for Hire series), that he would be next to find his own love on the job, Vince is sent to rescue a young woman whose research vessel had been hijacked off the coast of the Galápagos Islands. Imagine his surprise when he finds Vanessa and her team in an old boat adrift on the water, having freed themselves from their bonds but hiding below, unaware that they were alone on the boat. Seems like a quick mission-accomplished since Vanessa was the person he was sent to rescue, BUT she will not leave until all the members of her research team have been found. The men are there with her, but Dr. Laura is missing. Very fitting that Vince and Vanessa partner up, no longer rescuer and rescued victim, to search for the research vessel, recover its data, and figure out what happened to Dr. Laura. What an exciting adventure and interesting story! Just herding the group to keep them together until they could get home was indeed a nail-biter. Another fav from this series....again, yup I keep saying this, but what else can I say when Dale Mayer keep writing amazing easy-to-read suspense read with a dash of sweetness and plenty alpha heroes to drool to. This one started with kidnapping at Galapagos, an exotic place where there are many pirates, oh yes I'm totally hooked, then comes many suspects and theories, yup totally can't stop reading it. Although there are some questions that goes unanswered, I still enjoying nonetheless with all those actions and the sweetness between Vanessa and Vince. If you're looking for an easy to read suspense, this is definitely for you.

This was full of suspense and mystery from the beginning and had you second guessing on who you thought was behind the kidnappings as well as who to trust. Vanessa is smart and head strong and frustratingly enough for Vince believes to leave no one behind. This game of cat and mouse has you turning the page needing to know who the bad guys is, who can you trust and will everyone still be alive at the end! About the author

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between – no matter what the age. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you’ll want to cuddle close.

She’s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her – and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres!

And that’s okay too.

There is one guarantee with each book – it will be a great read – each and every time
