About this ebook

Zack wasn’t someone to focus on his mistakes, but he’d made a big one, and it was hard to move on from it. Still he was determined to work with Levi’s team to find new meaning in his life and to get his head on straight. At least that was the plan. When he ends up part of a two-man team to rescue a kidnapped woman, the daughter of a former politician, Zack doesn’t know how to react—she’s certainly unique. Not the least of which, she didn’t appreciate the rescue. … At least not once she learns the details.

Zadie knew her father was guilty of the crimes he’d been accused of. She was more concerned about her mother, who’d always been the downtrodden and obedient wife. But, as more and more evidence shines a light on their lives and her kidnapping, the issue is no longer as clear.

Heartbroken at the losses that keep mounting, Zadie knows she needs a second rescue—hopefully by her same rescuer. Only it’s not as simple this time, and it’s infinitely more dangerous …

This is another story in the Heroes for Hire series. Levi and Ice the owners of the international Legendary Security company are always looking to hire new members to their team which is where Zach Higgins comes in. They ask Zach to go to Turkey to find Zadie Nather. Her mother and father are under house arrest by the Turkish government. When Zadie goes missing, her mother hires Legendary Security to find her. After rescuing Zadie, they escape Turkey but Zadie receives a frantic call from her mother and convinces Zach and his teammate Bonaparte to go back and rescue her mother. The storyline was a little slower to develop than other novel in the series, but it still has a strong ending. This is the 24th book in a series I really love. Although this book does not reach the excitement I have come to expect from the series, I would still strongly recommend this author’s series if you are looking for a good read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Zack is coming off a previous job that didn't quite go as well as he expected because of past acquaintances. Ice and Levi have anther opportunity and assure Zack he is wanted. It was awesome to get a little update about Ice and Levi. Zack is partnered with Bonaparte and they are off to recuse Zadie in Istanbul. Her father is corrupt, her mom is sick and she is captured while visiting them, under house arrest. I liked Zack he was so normal, albeit with excellent Navy Seal Skills. Zadie knew her dad was corrupt and just wanted to rescue her mom. Bonaparte made me laugh with his mad driving skills and I look forward to his story. There was a definite twist, surprise at the end and those always make my day. Thank you Dale Mayer for yet another book that entertains and takes me to another place. Thank you to the author and Booksprout for the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.

I really liked how Zach got his own book straight after the last one as I really wanted to see him happy and challenged and boy does Zadie deliver. This is a bit different to the other books as the love between Zadie and her father is not all rainbows and sunshine but she is will to put herself in danger for her mother who she also has a bit of a mixed bag of feelings about. There are times when I really wanted to shake Zadie and say "think about what you have been through and be realistic" as at times she chooses to be a bit ignorant to what's going on and then gets a bit of a reality check. There are some good laughs, danger, loss attraction and a few hairy moments where you aren't sure how things will pan out, but you hope that the winning streak of Ice and Levi's stays intact!!!
