About this ebook

Everyone in Washington knows Madeleine and Jack Hunter. Maddy is an award-winning TV anchorwoman and Jack is the head of her network. To the world, theirs is a storybook marriage. But behind locked doors a very different story emerges; as Maddy's career soars, a bitter edge of control and jealousy has crept in. The cruelty she experiences at Jack's hands leaves no bruises, no scars, only the wounds of fear, humiliation and isolation.

Maddy's journey to healing begins when the President's wife offers her the opportunity to join her newly-formed Commission on Violence against Women. There Maddy hears chilling stories from terrified wives and girlfriends that sound eerily familiar. And there she meets Bill Alexander, a distinguished scholar and diplomat who also works on the commission. Bill suspects that something is terribly wrong in Maddy's marriage and, as she takes the first steps towards freedom, a remarkable series of events begin to unfold...

As White House headlines bring the country to a standstill, a devastating tragedy occurs which forces Maddy to both realise just how much she has lost along the way and find the strength to change her life forever.

An unmissable novel from one of the world’s most popular authors with over 650 million copies sold.

Readers adore Journey:

***** ‘A magical writer that never fails to thrill.’
***** ‘Suspense to the end whirlwind.’
***** ‘Fantastic book [that] gets all your emotions going . . . you won’t want to put it down.’

Repetitive from the beginig until right before last few pages and for those last few pages I gave my third star.Otherwise 2 stars for the book.On and on and on....I felt bored of reading the same things every page. That is the worst book of this author I've ever read and I am big fan of Danielle Steel. In few words: I was disappointed this time

That was a quick read. Steele takes you through a whirlwind of emotions with this storyline. I almost wish there was a part two as there is no way it ends there. A story that follows an abusive relationship and the struggles that are born from it.

Jack Hunter. Is not a man for any woman I hate him. Being emotionally abused is worse than physical abuse
