SUSAN DiLALLO (Book & Lyrics) is the recipient of the coveted Kleban Award. Her libretto for an original musical comedy, Iron Curtain, earned her a Jonathan Larson Award, and was further developed during a residency at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Her book and lyrics to another musical, Once Upon a Time in New Jersey, won both a Richard Rodgers Award and The Global Search for New Musicals Competition, Cardiff. Other credits include: the Mattel/Clear Channel production of Barbie Live! In Fairytopia (book, lyrics); That’s Life (Outer Critics Circle nominee); Pinocchio, a Musical About Adoption (winner, KIDDstuff new play competition); and the revised libretto for the classic A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
DANNY ABOSCH (Music/Lyrics/Orchestrations) is a composer/lyricist whose musicals include Goosebumps The Musical (upcoming World Premiere at First Stage and Oregon Children’s Theatre, October 2016), Fancy Nancy The Musical (Off-Broadway 2012-2014, National Tour 2013-2015, Cast Recording available on Ghostlight Records), Placebo (winner of the 2012 PMTP Development Award, fully produced workshop at the Pasadena Playhouse directed by Ryan Scott Oliver, additional workshops at the University of Michigan, Oklahoma City University, Emerson College, and Pace University), Off The Wall (First Prize winner of NMI’s 2014 Search for New Musicals, 2015 workshop and concert in Los Angeles), and Miles & Me (2014 workshop at the Musical Theatre Factory in NYC). Originally from Deerfield, IL, Danny is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.M. in Music Education), and of NYU’s M.F.A. Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Danny studied musical theatre writing as one of twelve participants in the Johnny Mercer Songwriter’s Project at Northwestern University, where he worked closely with Broadway composers Lin-Manuel Miranda and Craig Carnelia. Three of Danny’s songs have been chosen by William Finn for his concert series “Songs By Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists You Probably Don’t Know, But Should”. Danny was a founding member of the Musical Theatre Factory where he also served as its first Managing Director and co-created the acclaimed New Orchestrations series. Danny’s music has been featured on the TV shows “Dance Moms” and “Last Call With Carson Daly” as well as in the films “Waiting in the Wings” and “Missed Connections”. Steven Levenson is the book writer for Dear Evan Hansen. His plays include If I Forget, The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin, Core Values, The Language of Trees, and Seven Minutes in Heaven. A graduate of Brown University, he served for three seasons as a writer and producer on Showtime’s Master of Sex.
Benj Pasek & Justin Paul are the song-writing team behind Dear Evan Hansen. Previous musicals include A Christmas Story: The Musical, Dogfight, James and the Giant Peach, and Edges. Their film projects include La La Land (for which they won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “City of Stars,” with composer Justin Hurwitz), Trolls, Snow White, and The Greatest Showman. Their television credits include The Flash, Smash, and Johnny and the Sprites. Both are graduates of the University of Michigan Musical Theatre Program and members of the Dramatists Guild of America, Inc.

Spring Awakening is an extraordinary new rock musical with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Duncan Sheik. Steven Sater’s plays include the long-running Carbondale Dreams, Perfect for You, Doll (Rosenthal Prize/Cincinnati Playhouse), Umbrage (Steppenwolf New Play Prize), and a reconceived version of Shakespeare’s Tempest, which played in London.
Duncan Sheik is a singer/songwriter who also collaborated with Sater on the musical The Nightingale. He has composed original music for The Gold Rooms of Nero and for The Public Theater’s Twelfth Night in Central Park.
