I purchase all of Baldacci’s books because he is from my home state and I love his books. This one was unique in a good way and absolutely mesmerizing. The story of a lawyer who turns into an FBI informant and thus upends his entire life kept me on the edge of my seat and waiting for the next bad guy to catch up with him. Lots of twists and a completely captivating story! Ends in a cliffhanger so I am already waiting for the next story. All opinions expressed are my own.

Before I realized it, that slow burn had turned into a full-on blaze, and the story just kept picking up speed until I couldn’t look away. This story tugged at my emotions, calm one moment and heart pounding the next, with the shifts in pace keeping me fully engaged.
