About this ebook

Brye Morgeaux is a half-witch, half-warlock who always relied on her beauty-especially when it came to men. After a run-in with a particularly vicious warlock, Brye's face is left scarred, forcing her to look to who she is on the inside. And what Brye finds is darker than anything she'd imagined...

Then she's handed a terrible ultimatum-join the warlock clan, or watch her family die.

Josh Copeland has known the Morgeaux family for years, and has been waiting for the time when Brye would see him as something-anything-more than a friend. As she battles darkness from within and without, he realizes the woman he loves might just be her own worst, wicked enemy. Now Josh must find a way to show Brye who she really is...before she kills him.

The Vieux Carré Witch Sister series is best enjoyed in order.

Brye Morgeaux is a half-witch, half-warlock and she’s been handed an ultimatum - join the warlock clan or watch her family die in this thrilling paranormal romance. Josh Copeland has been waiting for Brye to see him as something more than a friend and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the story as Brye searches inside herself and finds something darker than she imagined and Josh realizes that the woman he loves may be her own worst enemy. The chemistry between Josh and Brye smolders from every page but so does a lot of past emotional baggage and that’s not taking into account all the turmoil that Brye is facing now which she can’t exactly explain to Josh. The characters are strong, bewitching and grab the reader’s attention and capture the heart while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. The Warlocks aren’t done with the Morgeaux sisters and one in particular has focused his attention on Brye causing lots of emotional distress and excitement as he tries to force Brye into joining his clan. Tension builds throughout the story in several different areas besides the dangerous one as the sisters need to learn how use their gifts and Josh knows that Brye is hiding something. Well written scenes and details bring the story to life making it easy for the reader to become completely immersed in the story while the intriguing events ensure that there is never a dull moment. Once again, the fascinating Morgeaux sisters ensnared me in their web of intrigue, magic, magical battles and romance with some interesting and of course the New Orleans setting makes the perfect backdrop for this thrilling series. Note: You could read this as a standalone story but you would enjoy it more if you read the series in sequence as this one takes up where the first one left off.

About the author

Dawn wouldn't necessarily call herself a bayou girl, (A New Orleans lady sounds better, though it may not be true. LOL) but she does have the occasional gator park itself in her front yard. She's not so much worried about the gators as much as she is about the snakes. (shivers)

Give Dawn anything chocolate and she'll be your friend for life. When she isn't fishing, golfing, writing or reading, you can find her on the beach or watching her favorite television shows such as Game of Thrones, True Blood, Supernatural, Hell on Wheels, and pretty much any home renovation show she can find.

Dawn loves writing contemporary and paranormal romance, but she loves reading everything with a HEA ending.
