Soul of the Witch is the story of witches, family, friendship, magic, guilt, tragedy, lost love, forgiveness and so much more. The Townsend family has four girls: Faith, Noel, Yvette and Abby who were raised by their father, Lincoln. Soul of the Witch focuses on Abby. The point-of-view alternates between Abby and Clay. I like that we get to see things from each character’s perspective. Soul of the Witch is well written and has a steady pace. The story contains great characters with my favorites being Daisy and Olive. Val is the villain of the story and she adds drama (one of those characters that you love to dislike). It allows readers to see what Clay will do to protect his daughter (we get to see his core beliefs). Abby is a complex character. She has been living in New Orleans where she earns a living creating soaps and lotions infused with a touch of magic as well as selling her art. Abby has a boyfriend who has become focused on himself (his career and how Abby can help him succeed). She needs to understand what exactly happened ten years ago which means talking to Charlotte’s mother. Keating Hollow is a small town where everyone knows your business. The descriptions of the delectable delights available at A Spoon Full of Magic will have your mouth watering and wishing you could transport yourself into the story. For those of you that enjoy alcoholic beverages, there are some creative brews available at Townsend’s Keating Hollow Brewery. There is a scene near the end that will just melt your heart (one of those “ahhhh” moments). It is a heartwarming, magical story that will delight fans of Denna Chase. In Heart of the Witch, We get to catch up with Abby, Clay, Yvette as well as Lin Townsend. We see how everyone is moving forward with their lives and how Lincoln is handling is treatments. Lin gives Daisy a puppy which adds to the family chaos (and cute factor). They are a close-knit family who love each other and are there for each other (supportive in good times and bad). I found the golf carts and the races hilarious. I would not mind having one myself decked out in my favorite colors (red and blue). The story is told from Noel and Drew’s POV. I like getting to see things from both of their point of views (men and women see things very differently). Deanna combined magic, mystery, family, and romance into one enchanting story in Heart of the Witch.

Soul of a Witch Wow what a great story line...I love how Keating Hollow is a town of witches who each have their own abilities controlled by the elements. Abby came back to Keating Hollow because her Dad is sick after having been away for 10 years...only to have to confront some ghosts of her past...an old flame helps her in many ways... Love the characters in this book can not wait for the second book Heart of a Witch My second visit to Keating Hollow and I am still in love with the fictional town. I loved this book. Heart of the Witch finds us learning more about Noel Townsend...whose life was turned upside down when her husband left her and her daughter...and no he is back Thank goodness for the close-knit family that Noel belongs to. And of course the deputy The golf cart races sounds like so much fun...if only I had sisters closer to my age like the Townsend girls...we may have tried the races ourselves... Deanna Chase brings to life every character she writes about...and I am anxious for the next Keating Hollow book so that we get answers about the new guy

An amazing world where witches are not only the norm but normal. Witches of Keating Hollow boxed set 1& 2 5 stars The Heart of a Witch: This is a great series. A family of witches, a town where witches are normal residences. Sisters who love, have baggage, as well as powers. You'll find humor, sadness, intrigue, family and friend loyalty, and romance. Sisters have all returned home to be with their father who is fighting cancer. A family tragedy and desertion by their mother, all play a part in their efforts to regain their family unity. Meanwhile, love is in the air. For Noel, the desertion by her husband three years ago make it difficult for her to give in to her feelings for Drew. Divorce doesn't change the pain and her daughter's difficult adjustment. Will a possible murder be another obstacle to keep Drew, Deputy Sherriff, and Noel apart? Is there a threat to the two females he cares about? What about the police department? Is there an internal problem? The Soul of a Witch: Abby returns to Keating Hollow, after ten years. Not a happy choice. Her father is undergoing difficult treatment for cancer and she needs to help with the family. She left with a heavy heart. Her return is mixed with joy seeing her family and friends and constant reminders of the reason she left. This is a small town full of witches with different powers, Seeing her high school sweetheart gives more confusion. He is still hot and pulls to her yet he moved on, didn't he? Besides she has--had--a boyfriend. Where does that leave them? What secret pain does she carry that inhibits her healing powers? A wonderful world of witches. In the end, I am so glad this is a romance because I know they will end together. Won't they?
