About the Author
Dianne de Las Casas is an award-winning author, storyteller, and recording artist and the founder of the November Is Picture Book Month initiative. Her work has earned rave reviews from School Library Journal, Booklist, and Kirkus. She performs worldwide at schools, conferences, and special events. She is the author of many picture books with Pelican, including Mama's Bayou, The House That Witchy Built, and Blue Frog: The Legend of Chocolate. She lives in Harvey, Louisiana.
About the Illustrator
Holly Stone-Barker is an illustrator and educator who specializes in cut-paper collage. She has worked with de Las Casas on a number of other Pelican titles. A prolific designer in a variety of fields, Stone-Barker has worked for such clients as Clubhouse Jr. Magazine and La Capitol Federal Credit Union. She combines her illustration experience with her love of education by instructing art programs for school-aged children with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
