Dirk reminds us of so many we have met and known over the years, annoying, aggravating, self indulgent hap hazard survivors of evolution with a bent of optimism in a pessimistic existence. Proof of all things work out for the better depending on how you look at it.

Fun stories about a defective detective who trusts in the interconnectedness of all things to solve mysteries. At least one involves an involuntary rain god.
