First published in 1932 this classic has been fully updated in line with the latest technical developments, regulations and industry best practice. Providing both in-depth knowledge and a broad overview of the field this pocket book is an invaluable tool of the trade.

A handy source of essential information and data on the practice and principles of electrical engineering and installation.

The 23rd edition has been updated by engineering author and consultant electrical engineer, Martin Heathcote. Major revisions have been made to the sections on semiconductors, power generation, transformers, building automation systems, electric vehicles, electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas, and electrical installation (reflecting the changes introduced to the IEE Wiring Regulations BS7671: 2001).

I've owned physical copies of this book, take it from a guy that has spent thousands of dollars on literature for electrical theory, and every other aspect, including Electrical Engineering, sometimes purchasing straight from the college book store, back when those were still a thing. I"ve been wanting this book digitally since you could purchase ebooks, or whatever it is you crazy kids call it these days. Seriously though, this is the best book to learn from, and to reference when situations cause you to look at a book to figure out what the hell just happened. Helps you be more consistent with your testing tools, and it will teach different ways to use them. It covers such a wide variety of Electrical devices, that there is a good chance it has what you are looking for.. The book will teach you enough to where you won't blow yourself up when referencing it. As a person who has worked with Tunnel Boring Machines and Tower Cranes, I've referenced this book more than any of my other books over the last 18 years of my career.
