I’m Diane, a recovering romantic. My story starts with three love interests — one going back to the seventh grade.
When I was young and stupid, I sent a card signed just “your secret admirer” to the most popular boy at school, Bobby Daly. My neighbor, Brad, found out and my broken heart was exposed. I vowed to never fall in love again.
Fast forward a few years when I fell off the bandwagon. I dated an agnostic grad student named Ken and I loved him, but did he love me? This novel is a romantic tale about my three foolish mistakes all there for you to read.
Despite having grown up next to Juniata College, my fate ended up at Penn State. I thought I knew a lot, but the education I got was about the human heart. Then I got a letter signed “your secret admirer”!
Part comedy, inspirational, tragedy, and all romance — my story is almost a young adult romance with a little too much smoking to rate it PG. I’d say any teen or adult woman 16 or older would relate to this tale.
The hardest part of my lessons learned is that it isn’t easy to live the values you believe in, and yet those values make you unique in a mixed-up world of dating. As any Christian or religious person will tell you, it’s a difficult world to navigate.
So, if you dare to read my story, get out a box of tissues. I’ll need them.
