I'm a fan of his poetry, especially the highly popular poems 'The Raven' and 'Annabel Lee'. As for the short-stories, I tend to gravitate to longer works such as epics but I enjoyed exploring his writing style. I thought he was a better poet than short-story writer. I enjoyed his dark themes concerning the mind and remembrance. His poetry tends to dive into the darker side of psychology, especially in 'The Raven' as the raven could symbolize the memories of past loved ones. He does explore other themes, such as beauty as in the poem 'To Helen'. Definitely give Poe a shot if you're a poetry fan!

The ultimate splendid recall of life for a Jaguar. write in my ticket to the play. I want to pease him everyday. How can such literature define an course of English lit.? Theoretically proof is in the positivity of the source of God. I reiterate I've never found such greatness. Yes you should read.

The Full Collection is highly recommended, especially for those new to Poe: many folks don't know he was a man of great wit. Some of his essays are hysterically funny! It's too bad the schools only teach his more macabre works. It's worth noting too that Poe wrote the first known detective story, Murders At Rue Morgue, inspiration to Sir Arthur Canon Doyle himself! (Doyle wrote the Sherlock Holmes stories.)
