For aspiring writers and lovers of the written word, this concise guide breaks down the writing process with simplicity and clarity. From adjectives and exclamation points to dialect and hoopetedoodle, Elmore Leonard explains what to avoid, what to aspire to, and what to do when it sounds like "writing" (rewrite).

Beautifully designed, filled with free-flowing, elegant illustrations and specially priced, Elmore Leonard's 10 Rules of Writing is the perfect writer's—and reader's—gift.

I have no idea why they got the 98 pages it turns out it's like a 9.8 pages on a tablet' I don't think this book would be really helpful for any aspiring writer. Still undecided if the *pith and wit* was worth a couple bucks..

Unbelievable. It isn't the lack of good information presented, it is the complete rip off of less than ten minutes worth of reading. I'm offended as a consumer.

Useful advice, well written, but only about 10 minutes worth of text with cartoon illustrations and filler pages. Should have been about 20 pages without the filler stretching it out, instead of the 96 claimed.
