About this ebook

Quantum mechanics provides a theoretical and mathematical description of particle-like and wave-like behavior, and interactions of matter and energy. In science, these observations and mathematical descriptions sparked the revolution from "classical" to "modern" and the philosophical implications are still spreading and being studied and understood.

The Buddhist concept of "emptiness" is often misunderstood to imply nothingness, but this is incorrect. In Buddhist philosophy, "emptiness” refers to a lack of intrinsic existence of phenomena. Buddhist philosophy posits that in the process of observing and thinking, we habitually attribute properties to objects, and then take those properties to be real and independent of our designation.
