Ahhh it feels like I have been waiting for Knox and Fiona to get their own story forever. If you've followed this series (Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild) then you had an inkling that they were gonna end up with their own HEA and Kiss My Giraffe will not disappoint you. Knox and Fiona were just so fun together. Their chemistry is crazy hot. Knox was the perfect grumpy hero with a totally squishy soft inside that made me want to hug him up tight. And Fiona. I loved her passion for animals and her life in general. I loved that we finally got to know Fiona and it was so much fun! You definitely don't want to miss this story. I won't say anymore because I've learned some great spoilers. So I'll end it here. Just know Kiss My Giraffe is a must read.

KISS MY GIRAFFE is the seventh instalment in Erin Nicholas’ contemporary, adult BOYS OF THE BAYOU GONE WILD erotic, romance series- a spin off from the author’s BOYS OF THE BAYOU, and HOT CAKES series. This is city manager Knox, and animal rescuer/rehabber Fiona Grady’s story line. KISS MY GIRAFFE can be read as a stand-alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Knox and Fiona) KISS MY GIRAFFE is a frenemies to friends to lovers story line focusing on the building relationship between is city manager Knox, and animal rescuer/rehabber Fiona Grady. For months, every time Fiona Grady returns to the Bayou she seeks out our story line hero for a few nights of fun-a friends with benefits relationship that is about to be upended with Fiona’s decision to move permanently to Autre, Louisiana. Knox doesn’t do relationships, in fact, he has sworn off any women who live or work in the Autre area but Fiona’s arrival comes with a few surprises, surprises that are, once again, going to turn Knox’s life upside down. Fiona Grady is often called onto make emergency rescues, and Knox is about to find out, to what extent, Fiona is willing to give up her life for the animals she loves. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Knox and Fiona, and the potential fall-out as Fiona must decided between her life in Autre, Louisiana or returning home to share in the family responsibilities. Fiona Grady has a few secrets, secrets that shine a light on a lifestyle many, including Knox, knew nothing about. As Fiona’s secret reveals several layers of classified and privileged information, the revelations keeps coming, until all of Fiona’s family comes to Autre, Louisiana in the hopes of Fiona returning back home. The relationship between Knox and Fiona is a frenemies to lovers in which Knox struggles to accept Fiona’s move to Autre Louisiana. Burned in the past, Knox doesn’t do relationships, doesn’t believe in love, and refuses to commit to anything beyond the present. Fiona’s multi-layered secret was about to upend the small Bayou town of Autre Louisiana but Knox’s inability to commit, pushes our heroine out of his life. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several characters from previous story lines , as well as te introduction of Fiona’s brothers Cian and Torin; Saoirse, Colin and Fiona’s grandfather Diarmuid. For followers of the interconnected series, the author has added an index and breakdown of the main and recurring characters at the beginning of the book, revealing and reminding of each connection, relationship, book and series. KISS MY GIRAFFE is a story of family, relationships, secrets and love. The fast paced premise is twisted and heartwarming ; the characters are charismatic, dynamic and flirty; the romance is seductive and captivating. For fans or followers of the ‘Tiger King’™ train wreck, you will notice many similarities when the story line ventures into a tiger rescue.

Kiss My Giraffe, by Erin Nicholas, is another “can’t put down,” laugh out loud, put a smile on your face story, that has everything I've come to love about the Boys Gone Wild series. I have been waiting for this story since the first time Fiona drove her big purple truck into Autre and Knox stormed his way into Ellie’s to complain about it. Months of complaining; flirtation, and even a stolen kiss have led us to this book and it was so, so worth the wait!! Knox is the perfect grumpy hero; gruff, usually ticked off, but with a sweet streak that left me swooning time after time. Fiona is feisty, strong, independent, determined and sassy; yet still completely surprising. Fiona has been keeping a number of secrets from her Autre friends, especially Knox; ones that are totally unexpected and quite surprising. Knox and his organized life will never be the same again and it seems he is okay with that. Knox and Fiona couldn’t be more different, yet they are perfect for each other. Together they have so much chemistry they could power the electricity for Autre and their steamy encounters are seriously smoking hot. Knox, a nerdy, buttoned-up, by-the-book, series and controlled bayou boy, has met his match in the irrepressible, animal champion, sunny spitfire that is Fiona Grady. She’s the perfect sassy yang to his dirty talking yin. In a series that is all about finding your chosen family and people who love you as you are, Kiss My Giraffe is all this, and so much more. This book was like a love letter to Autre with glimpses of past couples and a hint of what may come. I hope we get to stay in the Bayou for a long, long time!!! Ms. Nicholas wrote a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, sassy and charming characters who are engaging, magnetic, and ready for some between the sheets time. I highly recommend Kiss My Giraffe to other readers and look forward to what Ms Nicholas has waiting for us next. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
