The Love Position follows two characters we previously were introduced to: Sophia Hunter-Savage and Isaac Haywood. . Yoga and a tropical ashram play a huge role in the development of these characters and their relationship. As does a Guru that came across extremely sketchy (to me) from the start. . Now, keeping it truthful, I did struggle at first to read this book because of all the yogi speak. But anyone familiar with Evie and her books knows that the plot may draw you in but the depth of the characters is what keeps you reading (okay, and the smut.) There is always something relatable to the characters she writes about and Isaac and Sophia are no different. And, there always seems to be a supporting character (Jessica) that I hope to read more about in another book. This book also reignited my love/curiosity of archeology. . These stories Evie tells never disappoint. Foxbrooke has been such a fun and steamy series to read & can't wait to see what/who comes next!

I felt a little apprehensive - as we have a change of scenery for this story. I wasn't sure that I'd like to be taken away from Foxbrooke or from the usual crowd - I really missed them all. I also didn't love the ashram! When I think of yoga I imagine a really peaceful environment - like Isaac's home! The practices here though were a real shock to the system and anything but relaxing! I found both Sophia and Isaac are both quite staid characters and that was such a contrast from the rest of the series - so this didn't have the usual raunchy, sexual tension that we're used to from Evie's books. This definitely felt like quite a different read from the norm but having said that, this was still a really well written storyline, with great main character development and some great Evie-style spicy scenes. I loved the addition of Jessica's character, who provided some much needed laughs. Not my favourite - but I flew through it and am excited for Leo and Ella's story!

If you've been here for any time you'll have heard me banging on about Evie's writing & the fact she's one of my favourite authors. The Foxbrooke series is one that I will always pick up & eagerly anticipate the next installment. The Love Position is a little different to the rest of the series in that the majority isn't set in Foxbroke, and I'll be honest I did miss being there with everyone. However, Evie did what she does best & wrote a story which is just so easy to read with characters you can't help but like. My favourite was Jessica & I cannot wait for her to visit Foxbrooke (🤞) and meet Estelle, there shenanigans alone could make a juicy novella. Evie's style shines as always & her humour is spot on for me. This is a series I will always be happy to talk about.
