Sunny Marlow wants a lover, not a savior…

Sunny Marlow loves her life. After surviving a traumatic and highly publicized kidnapping as a teen, she’s embraced a new name and career as a florist in a tiny Scottish Highland village, where her only worries are that her sex-toy-selling foster sister will try to run another “Get a Free Vibrator with Every Bouquet” special, and that her childhood friend Jackson will keep blaming himself for what happened to her all those years ago.

However, all that’s threatened when battle-scarred war journalist Seth Legion arrives in town claiming to be working on a piece starring her irrepressible foster brother. Sunny knows that getting involved with a journalist threatens her safe world—not to mention stirring up her adoptive family’s protective streak—but she can’t help but feel the attraction, sensing Seth’s past holds secrets as deep as hers.

What Sunny doesn’t know is that Seth has come to Scotland for her, having seen the chance to make up for a friend’s lapse in judgement regarding Sunny’s case all those years ago. However, Seth never counted on the chemistry between them—or the fact that his presence in the Highlands could be putting her life in jeopardy . . .

About the author

Evie Snow is the pen name for a globe-trotting writing team working towards their very own Happily Ever After:

Best-selling author Georgina (George) Penney does the actual writing and reads far too many books. In past lives, she got herself a communications degree, studied hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, and was well on the way to a contemporary history PhD when moving to Saudi Arabia re-introduced her to a teenage love of romance novels.

Her husband, Tony (AKA The Kraken) helps out with plot wrangling and is in charge of caffeine distribution. In previous lives, Tony worked all over the world as a petroleum engineer. He found the oil industry to be far stranger than fiction.

Together, George and Tony have lived in a bunch of countries including Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, and Scotland. In the past, they’ve stayed in a Yurt in the Scottish Highlands, scoured desert souks for souvenirs, swam in the Aegean sea, snoozed on beaches in Thailand and fraternized with orangutans in the Bornean jungle. And wherever they go, they’re always on the lookout for wonderful local food and to have a chat with anyone who has a few free hours to spare.

When not writing warm and funny contemporary romance together, George and Tony can currently be found roaming random Australian country towns, continuing in their never-ending quest for the perfect scone.

“Sophie Love's ability to impart magic to her readers is exquisitely wrought in powerfully evocative phrases and descriptions….This is the perfect romance or beach read, with a difference: its enthusiasm and beautiful descriptions offer an unexpected attention to the complexity of not just evolving love, but evolving psyches. It's a delightful recommendation for romance readers looking for a touch more complexity from their romance reads.”

As Christmas and New Years approach, the stress is only compounded.

“A very well written novel, describing the struggle of a woman (Emily) to find her true identity. The author did an amazing job with the creation of the characters and her description of the environment. The romance is there, but not overdosed. Kudos to the author for this amazing start of a series that promises to be very entertaining.”

Ian Buchanan has a very big secret…

A powerful London newspaper editor, Ian Buchanan has made an art out of demolishing adversaries in scathing columns read over tea and toast. But when he's unjustly fired, he can't defend himself without revealing a childhood secret that would destroy his reputation and make him a tabloid favorite.

Seeking solitude to plan his defense strategy, Ian travels to Hopeville, Texas. This strategy definitely doesn’t include his cabin’s bubbly, barefoot hostess, Sophie Grey, whose Jessica Rabbit dress, welcoming smile, and penchant for literally falling into his arms make for an all-too-tempting distraction.

The proud new owner of a string of vacation cabins, Sophie Grey can’t believe she’s embarrassed herself by stumbling into the arms of her newest guest: a brooding British man of mystery whose sexiness is leaving her wobbly in the leg department. Suddenly, she’s planning all the ways they can be together, vertically, horizonal . . . and maybe diagonally, if that's even a thing.

But now that Sophie's walking on the wild side with Ian, her inner accountant is spotting a bunch of contradictions that don’t add up. Ian’s cut-glass English accent doesn’t quite go with his bareknuckle boxer’s physique and his frequent urgent trips back to the UK are giving her pause for thought.

As secrets are piling up, Sophie starts to wonder if the handsome Brit is perhaps a man of too much mystery. And with both Sophie and his future in the balance, will Ian finally reveal all?
