Er hat selbst später dankbar bekannt: "Corsica hat mir den festen Boden unter die Füße gestellt". So ist das Buch "Corsica" entstanden, welches mit seinem reichen, vielseitigen Inhalt entschieden zu den besten Arbeiten von G. gehört.
