Another great story from Gena Showalter! This series about the Astra is really good, I like how each story stands on its own but they all work together. it's unique, fun, sexy, and funny. These ladies know their worth, and how to kick butt, and they make great heroes! (However unlikely they may seem 😉)

The Phantom was another amazing book in the Rise of the Warlords series, and I didn’t expect anything else from Gena Showalter. Gena Showalter is such an amazing Fantasy Romance author and the romance, the spice and the fantasy bits are always on point in her books! I really enjoyed reading The Phantom, and reading about Blythe and Roux. I’m also really looking forward to reading the next book in the Rise of the Warlords series!

Intoxicating tension, sizzling desire, juicy drama, brutal intensity, and barbed wire animosity, suck you in, captivate and leave you consumed! Wow, even knowing what I know from reading the other books in this series, I was not prepared for Roux and Blythe's story. The fiery sparks and the quick, sharp, deeply cutting repartee are breath stealers for sure and honestly, I don't think I managed a single whole breath from the time I picked this book up until I finished it.
