About this ebook

A house of gold steeped in shadows…

Fairies like me are born lucky, but even our luck can run out. When I’m captured and imprisoned by a government agency, only one person can free me—Seven.

I haven’t seen the sexy leprechaun billionaire since we were teenagers, but he’s the reason I left the fairy realm sixteen years ago. Born into a life of privilege, his gilded existence is nothing like mine, but returning to his world is my only way out. His price? Seven wants me in his life, so much so that he ropes me into helping him solve a series of bizarre murders that threaten our kind’s tentative relationship with humans.

I promised myself I’d never get involved with him again, but his dark charms prove hard to resist. The closer we get to solving the mystery we’ve uncovered, the harder it becomes to keep my distance. The harder it becomes not to see that everything I believed about Seven was a lie, and the dark secrets of our past are about to come back to haunt us.

This twisted Cinderella story will sweep you away into a vivid fairytale world filled with suspense, betrayal, romance and twists and turns that will keep you flipping pages until the last word.

From award winning and USA Today bestselling author Genevieve Jack comes a world where fairies are real, luck is the new magic, and the unexpected awaits you on every page. Perfect for Dark Fever and Hidden Legacy fans.

What readers have to say:

"Secrets, surprises, lies, betrayal, romance, bigotry and a murder mystery. All I can say is WOW." - Paranormal Romance Guild

"Holy smokes, that was incredibly fun! You know when you go to an amusement park and get on a ride that you aren't sure what you've gotten yourself into, and it ends up being one the best you have experienced? That was Lucky Me for me. The amusement park analogy is because most of the book is in an elaborate amusement park... a Shrek-like world filled with fairies, pixies, leprechauns, etc., and they are carrying on in modern existence. It's brilliant! At times hilarious, a mystery and love story that is fun and gripping." -Beautiful Chaos Reviews

"I LOVED this book! This was a breath of fresh air from all the fantasy and romantasy reads that I usually pick up. The world-building was so well done. Detailed enough to make the reader want to know what's next in this series. Flashbacks from Sophie's POV were great for plot development. Cozy setting but suspenseful plot were a great juxtaposition and gave me great spooky season vibes." -Lindslikesbooks blog

"Elements of fun, mystery, and romance make this a fast-moving plot with plenty of imagination. Characters are delightful and believable." -Publishers Weekly [Booklife]

"The way she drew me into this story was amazing. There were twists and turns and such amazing writing that once I started reading I was hooked and couldn't put it down." -Sassy Southern Book Blog

"The incredible imagination of Genevieve Jack opens up a vault of fantasy and deliciousness...layered, emotional, and complex." - Buffyanna book blog

This book dosen't disappoint from the beginning your drawn into Sophia Larkspur's life she's more then she appears and her luck has just run out after 16 years away from Dragonfly protecting herself and her daughter back home lies teenage heartache and deadly secrets. But when Fire a government agency finds you it's torture or escape her days of playing poker have taught her one thing how to bluff but when the ex who broke your heart draws you back home with your daughter to stop a murderer what do you do bluff Sophia bluff. Seven Delaney is lucky in all things except love as a Fae Leprechaun he hold all the power except for two people Fairy Godmother and his father one is chilling the other not much better these aren't the cute little creatures of your childhood there cunning, conniving and down write horrifying Severn's love story has one bump in the road after another with murder, lies and mayham around every corner its easy to see why these two have a hard and dangerous road to love. The world building the detail of Dragonfly the twisted plots and social structure are laid out in away that draws you in to a place were the fairy plot and humans live out a fantasy but nothing is as it seems and I will never see the Toothfairy the same way again. And the characters are so real there pain and vulnerability and strength you want Sophia and Seven to win and I can't wait to read the second book but please let there be more of the criminally crazy world of Dragonfly Hollow. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I think this is a most interesting concept and detailed fairy tale. This emotional second chance, murder mystery and her having to replant herself in the land and some busybody inhabitants of Dragonfly Hollow maintain entertainment and adds intensity. Surprised at the way this ended though, obviously I overlooked the cliffhanger tag. I received a free copy and voluntarily chose to review.
