This was a facinating book about the real life history a German hussar from Westphalia, Norbert Landsknecht. He started with Hompesch's Hussars till his regiment were sold to the Britsh and he became part of the KGL. with them he fought Napolean's armies globally, from Paruguy, to Spain, to Germany and even the West Indies. These are his words, dictated to the author while he was a retired Chelsea pensioner.
