What a find. I was looking for Taliaferro County Negro Fair as members of the community church , early 1900's mentioned they were stakeholders. I found what I was looking for and so much more. This book listed the African-American teachers of 1915 were organized and met often, it describes the education system and problems of the day and include pictures of the school. It is worth reading the 26 pages. Get your cookies and mild and absorb yourself in the pages of history found here. Imagine the African American children and parents involved in the Education and Entertainment. I loved every minute of it.
