This tied up a few loose ends! Ruby’s story, which we knew there had to be more of, was heartbreaking, yet, amazed at her strength. Ash completely threw her off balance in all the right ways, and, he was one determined lupine. Loved how Ruby never lost herself, how she still looked out for those she cared about, and how she finally got the HEA she had always deserved <3

Ruby and Ash . . . Ruby had been brought into this pack as an outsider and was made the alpha’s mate. But it was so different than where he had come from. She still longed for the hunt. And with her mate now dead, she was nobody to this pack. So she wasn’t surprised when Viktor Fekete, alpha of the Sarka pack, approached. The Rush pack was her old pack and they were coming for her. She hadn’t left them on good terms. They were primal, judging other packs, and traveled most of the time. The next day, she went for a walk since no one had visited her, and she collected berries. But when she returned to her cabin, a man was moving around it, young and curious. He must be from the Rush pack and of some importance to be allowed on their territory instead of camping outside of it like the rest of that pack. She was irritated when Ash followed her inside her home without invitation. Why did Meadow, the Rush Alpha, send her nephew to her? To seduce information? He openly flirted, but left when she suggested he do so. And she finally found out that Viktor’s pack would be cleansed unless they got the answers they were looking for. Trying to balance the tension between her old alpha Meadow and her new one Viktor, Ruby offers to go with Ash on a mission to find information about lupine being hunted. Working together makes it more difficult to fight the attraction to Ash. Can Ruby keep the focus on the missing lupines while fighting to protect her heart? I totally loved this interesting story line. The characters of Ruby and Ash are absolutely intriguing as we learn so much about the strange primal pack and their function and power. I definitely recommend this series which will keep the reader vigilant because guessing where the story is going will not work here. It’s always a surprise!
