I have been a single mother since my son was born so was drawn to this adorable children's book, that is written in both English and Spanish on each page. A young boy, Juanito, wonders why his mother has to go to work and the mother explains, page by page, all of the things that they are able to have in their lives and pay for because she has a job and works for the family. This is a great book with a clear message - illustrated very nicely as well.

Oh what a delightful children’s book. I read it with my daughter and we both loved it. It is written in Spanish and in English, which I think is wonderful. The story of the young son asking a serious question, one I am sure many parents have been asked. "Why do you go to work Mom?" and it answers it in a clear and concise way, perfect for young minds to understand. It is a big help for all parents. The pictures are adorable and this is definitely one of the best children books I have seen. I am always looking for good books for my daughter and I would love to see more from this author. The compassion and understanding of children’s minds is outstanding and I am impressed. I highly recommend this book; it is a great one to share with your kids.
