About the author

Hans Baumann is a world-renowned engineer specializing in control equipment and acoustics. He attended Western Reserve University earning a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, and is a member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society. His career has spanned from serving as Corporate Vice-President for such firms as Emerson Electric and the former Studebaker-Worthington Corp., to starting his own manufacturing company. He has over 150 US and foreign patents to his credit. INTECH magazine named him ""one of fifty most influential industrial innovators"" and his designs have garnered numerous awards in the US, France, Germany, and Japan. Dr. Baumann has published over 110 articles and scientific papers, a number of technical books, and the acclaimed management book The Ideal Enterprise. He has lectured at universities in the US, Japan, and Korea, served as Advisor on Foreign Trade to the Governor of New Hampshire, and is an advisor to the Dean of the UNH Business school.
