About this ebook

Enforcer wolf. That’s Riley. A gangster took him in when he was young, and he’s been loyal ever since.

It’s getting harder and harder for big, soft-hearted Riley to unquestioningly follow orders...but he doesn’t want to be alone without a pack. Almost anything is better than that.

What would it take for a guy like Riley to switch sides and work for the cops instead? Maybe not very much at all.

I have read the other books in this series and I have to say I loved this the most. Poor sweet Riley just wants to be loved, cared for and find a proper pack. Problem is the people who find him as a teen do the opposite of what he needs...he knows he needs better, but thinks this "pack" of his is better than being alone. In comes Justin a force of nature Riley is unable to deny. Justin tries to help in his own way, but never asks Riley his opinion on things that concern Riley himself. I admit Justin rubbed me the wrong way a bunch of times in this book, being too heavy handed but when you think about it at that time Riley needed just that. I was happy to see Riley growing into himself and finding a partner that was absolutely perfect for him. Bonus points for Riley and his partner not being love interests for each other, it brings another wonderful angle to things. I recommend this whole series but especially this book because it was unique to the Shifter and Partners stories.

I really enjoyed this story. It kept me hooked from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to more books by this author.
