Maggie Lee is a woman who pays her debts and now she’s running herself ragged.

When the mysterious Ms. Whitehat asks her to work at a dentist’s office to gain access to a safe, Maggie can’t say no.

She probably should have turned down her murder mentor, Patrick Mulligan, when he wants her to tail a suspicious cop, but she owes him.

And she also couldn’t refuse to help US Marshal Griswald when he requests her assistance to solve one last case before he retires.

Speaking of his retirement, Aunt Susan is planning the party of the century for him and she expects Maggie to bring a date.

But making it to the party on time may prove difficult since repaying her debts has resulted in Maggie doing a dangerous dance with a killer.

Loved this book! Each book in this series is better than the one before as Maggie has grown and changed over the series. In this novel, she is pulled in multiple directions, seeming to owe everyone a debt. The resulting tale is engaging, fun, and funny. Put this one at the top of your TBR list - if you enjoy the genre, you will love it! While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Author of the never-ending Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman series, JB Lynn (you can call her Jen) is a Jersey girl, who was transplanted in Florida for a while and is now putting down roots in North Carolina. When not taking photos and exploring the mountains with her rescue mutt, she writes the Psychic Consignment Mysteries and the Cursed Chick Club series because she’s got a soft spot for hijinks, humor, and heart (not to mention an almost compulsive need to tell stories!).
