The characters are all friends or family and joined together in this small town and you can feel the love they all share for one another. This author describes the picturess town so that you will feel as though you are there. This is Holly and Nate's story. Holly Blake was dealt a bad hand in life as a teenager. She was in a car of friends where her boyfriend was killed and her best friend suffered severe burns. She survived and went on to become a nurse and was blessed with lots of friends but love never seemed to find her and so she was still toting her Vcard around. Her jaw dropped open when Nate Fox walked in! Nate was Holly’s twin brother’s best friend and the younger brother of her best friend’s husband. He was also the guy she had crushed on for years! When he saw her come out on the stage, he would not allow another guy to buy a date with her! The bright red high heels and the tiny little skirt that barely hid anything were driving him crazy! Two people trying to desperately hide their real feelings while their chemistry soars off the pages! It was a fun storyline seeing how Nate breaks down Holly’s stubborn resistance.
