Returning Home I almost passed on reading this book completely forgetting I had been reading this series previously but was thing my life was a little too busy to take on another book. SO GLAD I CHOOSE TO READ IT AFTER ALL!! l loved the character Jasmine even when I wanted to smack her because of her insecurities about life choices. Here you have a character that is fiery and sassy but insecure over her choices. Yes, she has done what some of have done in life like bad boyfriends, job choices, and acting before thinking of the consequences but hey she is only human. Now Donovan is hunk-hunk firefighting man and what red blooded woman would not what him? He is not a player but doe not seek a permanent relationship with any woman. The characters were well rounded in the story and descriptive enough that you could fully picture what they looked like which is a plus The storyline was realistic enough to happen in real life with all the issues neatly choreographed in the book. Having read this book in one sitting I deem it a worthy read. This reader felt this book was a complete story without any loose story lines being incomplete. I will admit there is a time jump that I felt could have transitioned a little smoother. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Donovan and Jasmine will both melt your heart and also put a tear in your eyes. They both have things in their past to deal with but fate seems to think they can do that better together. This is the best story. There is past hurts that have to heal and burn you up hotness between these two characters. I love how we get to revisit with old friends from previous books but this is a stand alone itself so you don't have to have read the others first but trust me you will want to read them, they are all good. I love how this book shows us that we don't need to carry hurts and grudges with us forever. They are only hurting us when we do. We need to understand that things happen and we sometimes have no control over those things and maybe they happen for reasons we aren't aware of. Basically when one door closes another one opens and maybe that was the door we were supposed to go through all along. I loved Jasmine's spunk. She is a fun character that comes across as all tough as nails but deep down she needs reassurance. Donovan is all sexy southern charm that will melt your heart and heat the rest of you up. I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. I loved it so much I also bought a copy. I highly recommend it!

Like a box of Hot Tamales, this romance is Sweet and Hot! Jasmine drags her broken dreams back home and attempts to drown them at the local bar. After she punches a guy for getting too frisky, the bartender asks her brother's friend, Donovan, to give her a ride home. These two both have been hurt in the past, so despite their intense attraction, they're careful to guard their hearts and move slowly. But their friends and families start removing the obstacles one by one, until all they can see is each other. Such a sweet, sweet love story, and this author really knows how to write a slow-burning heat with a hot and steamy payoff. I enjoyed the updated glimpses into the lives of the couples from the previous books as well as the familiar cast of secondary characters. This is small town living and loving at its best, and I love every bit of it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
