About this ebook

In this hilarious fractured fairy tale series from New York Times bestselling author James Riley, Jack, and “punk princess” May must navigate twists and turns unlike anything you’ve seen before!

Jack lives in a fantasy world. Really. He's the son of the infamous Jack who stole the magic beans from the giant, and he's working hard to restore his family's reputation. He finds the perfect opportunity when a “princess” lands in front of him, apparently from the land of Punk, as her Punk Princess sweatshirt implies. May is from our world, and she’s utterly confused to find herself in the midst of the fairy tale characters she has read about. But Jack and May have more in common than they realize—and together, they embark on a hilarious and wild adventre in this highly accessible, modern middle grade fantasy novel.

I recorded a thirty minute long intense review and analysis of this book, but obviously I can't say all that here. So what I will say is this: This book is severely underrated. I wish it had a fandom because I am so desperate for more content such as fanart and fanfiction! All of the characters are so complex, relatable, and hilarious. Jack is my favorite fictional character ever and by far the best protagonist I've ever witnessed in literature. May is spunky and fun though a bit annoying at times, but I'm sure her character will develop over the next two books. Philip is a hilarious "Prince Charming" parody and I LOVE it! And Jack's grandpa is just hilarious. Jack and May are such a cute ship and I know they will only get better as the series continues. Overall this is a fantastic series. It's not flawless, but it's still my favorite series of all time. The characters and humor make it worth reading even if the plot is bland at times. It's a wonderful tale and everyone should read it.

The book was way to long for my taste I suggest that if you were to get this book find a secondary book to read. But the book after that was fantastic with all the details and some lifelike situations but not all.
